The home electronics industry is moving lighting fast. New products, designs, and system updates are coming out constantly. It’s crucial that you make sure all your technology is up to date.
In this blog edition, we have important news to share with you in regards to your lighting. For 26 years, the lighting company, LiteTouch, brought automated lighting systems to American homes. In 2012, Savant Systems acquired LiteTouch in an effort to create their own lighting control system. This means LiteTouch products are no longer being manufactured or distributed and need to be replaced. Soon, many families in Connecticut and around the country will need a lighting system replacement.
Eventually, LiteTouch parts will only be available on a limited and potentially costly basis on merchant sites like eBay. So we are stressing the importance of replacing LiteTouch lighting control systems now.
Currently, there is not a direct retrofit system to replace LiteTouch, but an application is being developed by Lutron that will become a great alternative in the future. Until those parts are available, C & T Systems, which has a licensed electrical department, has the ability to replace them now.
As electrical contractors and automation experts, we can handle every aspect of the lighting system design-build process. We recently finished an impressive project at a home where we gutted a pre-existing LiteTouch system, did all the rewiring, reframed the wall, replaced the sheetrock, and built all of the equipment in-house. Our team developed the new QS system in the shop by temporarily connecting and preprogramming many of the new components. The project was a huge success.
The benefit of working with us is that we provide comprehensive services for everything involving home technology—including the electrical work.
