How to Make the Most out of Your Home Theater Investment

C & T Systems shows you what to expect when designing a home theater

There are many elements to an automation project, and a large job like putting a theater in your home can seem like a daunting task. Where do you even begin? C & T Systems can help you navigate the process and give you an idea of what to expect when you hire our professionals to design and implement a home theater.

It’s simpler than you might think.

1) Discovery Meeting

At C & T Systems, our job is to deliver exactly what you want—but an essential element to accomplishing that is putting down on paper the specifics that start out as ideas in your head. First, we meet with you and ask a series of questions. If you’re unsure of what you want, we can help you with that too. We have a showroom at our headquarters in Vernon, CT to give you an idea of what we can do, as well as examples of previous projects we’ve done in places like Hartford, Glastonbury, and Farmington, Connecticut.

2) Design & Engineering

Once we have gone over your vision with the team, plans are drafted illustrating the technical aspects of the project. We include this process in our preliminary budgets as planning for your system is just as important as the install itself. We show you the plans in the initial phase so you know exactly what you are getting and where.

3) Preliminary Construction

It’s important to determine your space requirements whether you are remodeling a particular room or building a new home from scratch. Framing, electrical, mechanical and other structural elements should be accounted for. In this step, we make sure that your home has all of the essential requirements before beginning the install and set up the automation system and hardware. Depending on the situation, this could lead to further construction.

4) Installation and Construction

As this step is usually the longest part in the process, you’ll be updated every step of the way. And if any issues arise needing further work or adjustments, we’ll let you know upfront so you won’t be blindsided at the end.

5) Adding the Finishing Touches

Maybe you want to add a feature you hadn’t previously thought about, like seating or other additional furnishings. Our team goes over the system with you and every piece of the theater that we covered at the discovery meeting, combined with any additions we included along the way. When C & T Systems presents your private cinema, we make sure you’re more than ecstatic with the final product.

Everyone here at C & T Systems hopes this helps you as you begin to think about creating the home theater of your dreams. Anything is possible with our experienced and professionally certified team. We’ll be with you every step of the way. Call us at (860) 875-2876 or fill out the contact form on our website today to get started!
